Dr Miranda Lomer Dr Miranda Lomer is a Consultant Dietitian at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and a Reader in Dietetics at King’s College London.

Dr Awad Mahalhal
Influence of Iron Supplementation on Gut Microbiota and the Natural History of Inflammatory Bowel Disease
Dr Mahalhal qualified as a doctor at the University of Benghazi, Libya in 2003 and since then has worked in clinical research and teaching. He has just completed a PhD in Gastroenterology at the University of Liverpool and is currently working on an extension of his project above. In September he will start to work on getting a place as a trainee gastroenterologist at the Royal Liverpool Hospital.

Dr Emily Hughes has just completed her degree in Medicine at the University of Southampton. She begins work as an F2 doctor at the Bradford and Leeds Teaching Hospitals carrying out her duties alongside her twelve month reasrch project at the Department of Discovery and Translational Science, University of Leeds

Dr Camilla Rhead is a Foundation Year 2 Doctor working in Acute Medicine at the North Middlesex Hospital, London. Her twelve-month research project will take place at the Institute of Liver and Digestive Health, Royal Free Hospital/University College London

Dr Laith Al Rubaiy is currently a Clinical Academic at University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. His six-month research project will take place at University Hospital of Wales and University Hospital of Llandough in Cardiff.

Anorectal Dysfunction in Ulcerative Colitis: A Cross Sectional Survey
Dr Dipesh Vasant is currently working in Gastroenterology at the Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and is an Honorary Lecturer at The University of Manchester. His twelve-month research project will take place at the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
Dr Misha Kabir
Developing a Personalised Patient Decision Aid to Improve the Quality of Shared Decision-Making between Ulcerative Colitis Patients Diagnosed with Dysplasia and their Clinicians.
Dr Misha Kabir is currently a Clinical Teaching and Research Fellow at St Marks Hospital and Northwick Park Hospital Harrow. Her twelve-month research project will take place at the St Marks Hospital and Academic Institute.
