Developed in conjunction with UK-PBC
The PBC Audit Toolkit has been developed to help clinicians managing PBC to evaluate their clinical practice in light of recently published EASL and BSG guidelines. The aim of the audit is to help to benchmark practice and facilitate improvement in delivery of best practice in managing this condition.
The toolkit has been piloted at the Newcastle Liver Unit and has already led to changes in care delivery.
The PBC Audit tool includes two downloadable forms to be filled out by clinicians electronically:
- Audit form
- Review form
- Optional – Spreadsheet with a standard format to allow you to populate a database with your findings
UK-PBC are proposing that centres interested in this audit collate their findings (at centre level NOT patient level) so that it can begin to develop a national picture of clinical practice. If you are interested in taking part in this exciting project please contact UK-PBC at: david.jones@newcastle.ac.uk
